How to switch from unschooling to systemic family education and is it necessary? ⠀
I never seem to have talked about my own CO experience here. And in general I don’t really like to talk about him 🙄 and there was nothing about it until recently: for the first 5 years, as a convinced unschooler, I didn’t force my studies under the program.
And what can you tell about unschooling? That Sasha didn't go to school for a day, and I just (not always) patiently waited for her interests to manifest. For the process to develop itself. Due to internal, not external motivation.
But in general, questions still arise, and now our educational situation has changed somewhat, so, perhaps, the experience of the transition from unschooling to systematic training may be useful.
The daughter attended circles and sections. There were and are not so many of them: chess (I quickly gave up), robotics and capoeira, plus English (the only occupation at my insistence).
It is believed that the schedule of homeschoolers is full of circles to the eyeballs, and we never had that. So I raked through my fears associated with Sashka's future, my expectations of her and the inadequacy of the ideal image of a passionate child. Which is what I still do. And, perhaps, on the way of our SB, this is the most difficult thing - to cultivate trust in the child and not shift responsibility for his / her own anxiety onto him / her.
At some point, about a couple of years ago, Sasha became interested in anime and wanted to go to study in Japan. Anskuli in CO is both the simplest and the most difficult at the same time 😅 So to be honest, I grabbed onto this Japan as a lifeline. I thought that here it is - interest, and thanks to it, now we will draw up a plan and begin to act. There is a lot of time and room for maneuver.

I searched the website of the Japanese embassy, found all the scholarship programs of the Japanese Ministry of Education, student exchange programs and all related information. And she sketched out an approximate timeline: by what time frame you need to master in order to participate in the competition for a scholarship.
