    When the question arose before me where and how to act, I had to read a lot of information: a huge number of sites/documents/blogs. My knowledge of German was limited to Rammstein songs from the time when I was a teenager, so German courses were required.

Fortunately, in Austria they also understand English, plus my young man, an Austrian, helped me a lot (although he was quite surprised by this bureaucracy: he needed only a passport and a school certificate for admission).

My documents were reviewed very quickly - in just a month. To be honest, by that time, I had not even managed to collect all the documents for a visa. Moreover, the official acceptance of documents at the university (I gave it at the end of May) has not yet begun. But, as you see, the bureaucratic system still works.

Time to make a student visa

    Then, in a short time, I started collecting the missing documents for a visa (the criminal record certificate took especially long). And now, that day has come.

I will never forget this morning, when I went to the embassy with a full folder of my documents - the excitement went through the roof. But! Everything went in no more than 15 minutes. A week later my documents were sent to Vienna, where they were already sent to the place of my registration (Vienna suburb, an hour's drive).

A month later, I decided to find out how I was doing. On the one hand, when you confirm housing in Austria somewhere in the suburbs, all issues are resolved very quickly (unless, of course, the person responsible for your application is not on vacation) - he is alone, he has students like you Little. My requests were answered by email within half an hour. But there are also disadvantages - there were different questions about insurance, bank statements... After a week of correspondence, Mr. Kainz said “Gut!” and sent permission to Moscow.
