Exam in Informatics and competition in biology

 Unified State Exam in Informatics will be held for the first time on computers

Next year, the USE in computer science will be held on computers for the first time. Now students take this exam on paper forms, like all other subjects.

Anzor Muzaev, head of Rosobrnadzor, spoke about the innovation. He said that "the technology has already been tested," and computers will be updated in all schools where this exam will take place.

The structure and content of the Unified State Exam in Informatics can be found on the website of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements. Now the exam consists of two parts: in the first you need to briefly answer 23 questions, and in the second - solve four problems and write a detailed answer.


Russian schoolchildren took three gold medals at the international competition in biology

The team of Russian schoolchildren took three gold medals and one silver at the international online competition IBO Challenge 2020. The competition was held instead of the XXXI International Biological Olympiad, which was canceled this year due to the pandemic.

Schoolchildren from 78 countries took part in the competition. They had to go through two rounds: theoretical and practical. In the first block, the participants solved biological problems - six hours with a break were allocated for this.

The practical tour consisted of standard tasks in biology as well as bioinformatics. They could be made from home or from school.

In addition to medals, two participants from the Russian team received additional awards for the second part of the practical round - a student of the Moscow State University Gymnasium Ruslan Nagimov and a student of Moscow School No. 1589 Maxim Kovalev.
